After LG and its UltraFine 5K and 4K displays comes Acer’s new 4K monitor that features an unusual name called the ProDesigner PE320QK. The monitor is not targeted at gamers at all; for that, the company has unveiled its feature-enriched Predator X27. Instead, the monitor receives its power and the digital signal from a Type-C USB port and is aimed towards 2016 MacBook Pro owners and other creative professionals.

Acer’s ProDesigner PE320QK Is Ideal for Content Creators and Professionals Thanks to Its Accurate 95 Percent DCI-P3 Color Gamut

Featuring an enormous diagonal screen size of 31.5 inches, the Acer ProDesigner PE320QK is something that will definitely be on your table if you want a higher resolution and extended screen real estate. Some users must be wondering why the company didn’t decide to take on LG and its UltraFine 5K display and that’s probably because the monitor might not end up becoming competitive from a ‘best bang for buck’ ratio.

Victor Chien, President of Digital Display Business at Acer states the company’s mission to continue expanding its products to cater to a wider audience.

“With 4K content being increasingly available through the rise of streaming services, Acer is gladly expanding our display portfolio for both media consumption and content creation. Through a solid spectrum of projectors and monitors, we deliver premium visual experiences catering to a wide range of user demands.”

The display is capable of projecting 550 nits of brightness and comes with a response time of 4 milliseconds. Apart from a single Type-C USB port that can deliver up to 85 watts of power, the ProDesigner PE320QK also comes with the following inputs for wider compatibility if your notebook or motherboard does not feature a Type-C USB interface.

  • Two HDMI 2.0 ports
  • Audio out
  • DisplayPort 1.2
  • Four USB 3.1 Type-C USB outputs (for peripherals)

There are no pricing details available on Acer’s website but we’ll update our readers on that front soon enough.
